Hi,
I haven't rooted my reader, but I did have morkl's updated reader app installed. The reader was starting to misbehave - trying to choose the font list crashed the reader; it also had the common problem with dictionary access hanging the device... So I thought a good firmware update might help.
After trying to update the firmware yesterday from 1.0.04 to 1.0.05, my reader appears to have got stuck in a reboot cycle.
I've got rupor-rescue extracted onto an SD card inserted into the reader.
At the moment it is connected to my Mac over USB, the boot screen is up ("Opening book...") and the LED is flashing orange a couple of times. After about a minute, the screen goes black and it apparently reboots.
What can I do to recover it? I think I'm looking to connect to the recovery console and then do some kind of factory reset, but as the device doesn't seem to ever appear on the USB bus (hard to tell) I don't know how to communicate with it.
Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi!
